National Pavilions/Exhibitions/Trade Showslist 2014/2015

The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) will be participating in various exhibitions, trade shows and National Pavilions to promote locally manufactured products in international markets. The department invites manufacturers and registered exporters to participate in the international trade shows listed below. If your company is competitive in the South African market, has been in business for at least two years and is export ready, it stands to benefit from the dti's Export Marketing and Investment Assistance scheme.

Invitation to take part in a Trade and Investment Mission tothe Tete and Maputo Provinces, Republic of Mozambique
15 - 19 June 2015
Invitation to participate in a Trade and Investment Mission to the Tete and Maputo Provinces, Republic of Mozambique from 15 - 19 June 2015

the dti invites you to apply to participate in a Trade and Investment Mission to the Republic of Mozambique scheduled to take place from 15 - 19 June 2015. The objective of this mission is to increase trade and investment between South Africa and Mozambique. It is an ideal platform for South African companies who would like to export value added products and services and for companies who are looking for investment opportunities in Mozambique.

The target sectors for this mission include:

  • Built environment professionals (consulting engineers, civil engineering contractors, quantity surveying and architects);
  • Electro-technical;
  • Mining and Capital Equipment;
  • Railways; and
  • Steel Fabrication and Steel tubing.

The focus of the mission will be:

  • Tete / Moatize mining, thermal and hydro power projects;
  • Port and LNG projects in the Northern Cabo Delgado Province;
  • Electricity generation, transmission and distribution projects;
  • Hotels, factories and housing projects; and
  • Roads and rail.

Companies will be screened and selected in line with EMIA guidelines and market requirements, which are explained in the EMIA guidelines document. For the approved companies, the dti will provide:  A subsistence allowance of R2,300 per day;  An economy class return airfare to a maximum of R17,000; Companies that are not eligible for EMIA funding are welcome to participate in these missions at their own expense. Companies applying for EMIA funding for this mission need to complete and submit the EMIA application form as well as the supporting documentation as listed in the EMIA application forms and guideline documents:

Invitation toparticipate in the outward selling and investment mission to Indonesia.
27 - 31 July 2015
Invitation to participate in the outward selling and investment mission to Indonesia from 27 to 31 July 2015.

The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) invites you to apply to participate in the Outward Selling and Investment Mission (OSIM) to Indonesia. The Mission forms part of the dti’s objective to create and identify export markets for South African value-added products and services. The Mission serves also to promote South Africa’s product and service offerings in high growth Asian markets. the dti has planned a programme of activities, which will include trade and investment seminar, mini exhibitions, business-to-business meetings and site visits.

Dates: 27 to 31 July 2015

City: Indonesia, Jakarta and South Sulawesi Province

This invitation is open to manufacturers and exporters in the following sectors:

  • Agro-processing (Fruit juices; fresh, dried and canned fruit; olive oil; canned foods; sauces, nuts, rooibos tea etc.);
  • Capital Equipment (Mining equipment’s, Safety equipment, Built Environment Products and Services)
  • Marine & Auto Components;
  • Oil, Gas, Ship Building;

the dti will provide:

  • Hotel accommodation up to R 3,000.00 per night
  • Economy-class return airfares to a maximum of R 17,000.00
  • Excess baggage to a maximum of R 2,000.00 (display material/samples)
  • Business-to-business meetings for participants

Companies that apply to participate will be screened and selected in line with EMIA guidelines; market and product/service compatibility. Interested companies are required to complete and submit the attached EMIA application form to:
